Therapy is a personal choice and it is all about you and meeting you where you are at in a nonjudgmental and nurturing environment.  Therapy is having a space just for yourself.  You may come to therapy because of a major life change that is difficult to handle on your own.  You may want to explore aspects of your childhood with someone who is not in your personal circle.  You could be struggling with difficulties in your relationships or chronic illness.  You could be experiencing anxiety or depression. You might be questioning your sexuality or find you're unable to be open about some part of your life.  Maybe you are going through a divorce and struggling to navigate it all. Your child may need support with being bullied at school, self harm behaviors, or an ADHD diagnosis. You could be on the verge of starting a new family or growing your family and come to find that you're not feeling quite like you expected.  These are some of the reasons people come to see me.  Whatever the reasons you come to therapy are, I want to recognize your resilience and strength in taking this step toward healing.

Therapist

I feel mindfulness is essential in todays fast paced world.  I have worked in community mental health for the past few years.  I have a DBT background and utilize this in my therapy practice as well.  I have been told I have a nonjudgmental, open, and accepting way about me.  My goal is to provide a safe space where you are accepted for who you truly are. I help individual adults, teens, and children work through transitions and difficult stages in their lives.  I have spent the past several years helping children and adults of all ages navigate life when it becomes difficult to manage..  I’m very flexible,, in my theoretical perspective, because every person is unique..  all people have strengths, and I like to make it a point to focus on those strengths.

 

While no therapist is right for everyone, I could be the right therapist for you.
